Made It!!!

I'M FINALLY ON THE ROAD

After more packing on Sat AM (Friday PM got rained out!) I hit the road with my fully loaded van and Airstream at about 1100. Just to prove the point that I can't pack lite? I have enclosed a few photos of the interior of the van. The s bikes are riding snugly in the trailer on their special rack.

After the splendid cuisine and parking lot accomodations of the Cracker Barrel in Pensacola, FL last night, I found myself in an Airstream-only park in East Texas known as Texas Airstream Harbor. It's in a lovely setting adjacent to a National Forest and shares some of the shore line of the BIG lake in the NF. GREAT SETTING! It's mostly empty as many of the residents are Snowbirds, but there is a great sense of community even with the few that remain. WBCCI membership is required.

I start installing an AM Solar charging system, 4 Lifeline GPL-4CT batteries, and a Magnum 2000 watt sine wave inverter charger at 0800 tomorrow. I'll document the install and do a thread about it when the job is complete.

THANKS!

And YES!...........that IS a motorcycle inside the van. It squeezes nicely just between the tool chests!

Lew,

I see some wasted space over the bike. Surely you can find something that needs to go there.

Ya know..........

I was initially going to ride the bike into the van, but after a few measurements.......quickly realized that if I did....I would be stuck on the bike with no room to get off the thing!

Not a bad idea, actually......but I don't have anyone to drive the van while I'm perched on the bike for the long haul........ know what I mean?????????

Reminds me of the story about the lady that had just purchased a new Winnebago MoHo and promptly went out and crashed it!

She was driving down the highway, put it in cruise, and proceeded to get out of the driver's seat and went to the fridge for something to drink .

WHAT WAS SHE THINKING?!?!?!?!?
