Thud & Blunder- Our Southwest Explorations Blog

We decided to take the month of March (and our new 23FB FC) to see the American Southwest. Having read about its long and tortured history in "Blood & Thunder," it seemed we needed to learn more about this corner of the country, first hand. We're now two weeks into it and are having more fun, more eye-openers than we imagined.

For friends and family (and fellow 'Streamers) I'm trying to keep a blog of the whole thing. If you care to tag along, visit bbkb.wordpress.com. Your viewing and comments are invited.

I know you will enjoy it very much.

We did the Southwest caravan in 2008. 42 days wasn't enough.

How is the weather? We started in the latter half of April but, found it to still be cool.

Thanks. You're right about the time needed; this is way too big of space to try to capture in a month. But it's a start. Weather has been pretty good so far; doing lower latitudes to San Antonio, then higher ones (Santa Fe, etc.) on way back west. If possible. Still, durn cool at nights (36-42) so piling on all the blankets. The 'Spud's inner skin sure is cold when you roll over and touch it in the middle of the night!
