length of the Pan-American highway..the whole freaking thing. Can you imagine you and your AS going from Prudehoe Bay in Alaska, inside the Arctic Circle, on the shores of the Arctic Ocean, all the down through two continents, to Tierra del Fuego on the tip of Argentina? Man what a trip that would be!
There is a bridge over the Panama Canal, so that problem is dealt with, but there is also a rain forest filled gap with no roads, the Darien Gap. which apparently has been crossed by 4x4's but no roads,
