Between the rain showers (read heavy down pours) we ran over to Apalachicola yesterday. Although, we didn't miss the showers altogether. The pictures today are from there; and thanks to Jarrod the Indian Pass Trading Post and Raw Bar. The pictures in Apalach (locals' term for the town) are from the historic district. They include the historic Gibson Hotel and fine dining restaurant. The Owl Restaurant where we stopped, and a couple of other buildings.

We ran up a few blocks to check out Scipio Creek Marina where I have tied up a few nights after crossing the Gulf from Clearwater.

Thanks to Jarrod for the tip about the Indian Pass Raw Bar. The picture shows Lou saying something like, "I ain't believing this". Sorry Jeff, no pictures of the food. However, you know that you are in for a fine dining experience with your own box of saltines and roll of paper towels on the table. Lou had the crab stuffed shrimp, and I had the Oysters. They and the cocktail sauce were outstanding.

Seriously fine dining. Has all the signs except the sawdust on the floor!

Well, we got a little break in the weather today. Finally we were walking the beach. One photo from today of the grand daughters and their rescued dog. We will probably pull out of here Saturday a couple of days early departure.

Ready for some cooler Tennessee mountain air?

Hope this storm to the west of you does not come your way today! Looks intense.

Too bad you just hit it wrong weather wise, must have been pretty wet and dreary. Better luck next time. Good camping.

That should be great weather. Any idea of your campsite number? Some of the sites at Gulf Breeze CG were totally flooded. Send me a PM, and I will tell you what I consider to be a great site number.

Another couple of pictures. One of the Gulf looking more like the Atlantic from our walk yesterday. One from today showing the scene behind our campsite. We have a little sun this morning.

Thanks, Peter. The weather to the West looks pretty dismal. We had a pretty good day today. Hopefully, we will not be driving back in hard rain, but the Tennessee mountain air will be refreshing.

Dinner tonight at Triple Tails. Sherry had grilled shrimp, Aliya fried shrimp, Hannah fish tacos, Lou fried shrimp and I had grouper. We started off with blue crab dip with pita chips, and finished with a great key lime pie. Recommended by all.

I just watched the national weather, and they said that the churning mess over New Orleans would probably stay parked there for a few days. Leaving tomorrow sounds like a good plan!

Well, this trip is in the bag except for delivering the Li'L Darlin' up to here storage building tomorrow. The weather was good on the drive home with just a few lite showers.

Coming back through Eufaula without rain there was a little time to stop and take some photos along Eufaula Street. It is beautiful with overhanging live oaks and old homes. Some are even Antebellum.

In the words of that great American philosopher, Yogi Bera, "it ain't over 'til it's over". While in the drive I washed the trailer today. While it wouldn't be proper to say that is shines like a new penny, it does shine like a new nickel.

Still have to do unpacking, and move it up to it's storage place in Cleveland.

Looking good! Enjoyed your trip. Tell me about your storage place. I am looking for covered storage somewhere in NW GA or E.TN.

Thanks!

Dave
