The Incredible Shrinking Airstream...

Has anyone else had the problem of a Park calling your trailer smaller then it is? My wife and I have gone to the "Outdoor Resorts" park in Augunaga several times thinking we were well within their 26' Minimum trailer length with our 28' CCD, but I just tried to make a reservation and they told me our last trip out Security measured our rig at 25'! They allowed me to make my Rez. but threatened security would probably measure me at the gate and not allow me in if I came up short. Is this just outright crazy or has anyone else had this problem?

Many trailers are measured body only. So a 26 foot SOB is actually about 2.5' longer - about 28'

Airstream numbers include the tongue.

Thanks for the heads up. I was thinking of taking my 25' there because it measures at 25' 11". I'll pass on the length inspection thanks.

That is some really good news... I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get into California Parks with 24' restrictions. The things you learn online!!!

Well then they've got a case to kick me to the curb. When I show up they are gong to measure my box and minus the tongue length I really am under there limit. Looks Like I'm in trouble

I think you need to find a new campground. What a bunch of weirdos.

Yeah, it really is a nice place but seems a bit uppity for camping.

I'll need to put a front porch and a rear deck on my 24' Tradewind.

Anyplace that doesn't allow "Toyhaulers" is OK in my book.

Tell them to take a flying leap and spend your money elsewhere.

Thumbs down Outdoor Resorts

just looked up their website - they're pretty snooty-snotty alright!

Won't fail to pass 'em by - even driving a Skydeck if I happened to have one.

Not 4 Me!

This doesn't sound like anyplace I would want to stay (even if my trailer met their requirements).
Hummmmmm; maybe I'm just the type they are trying to keep out of their "Resort". 'Ya suppose?

Life is too short for that kind of nonsense! You surely must have options.

"I have been thrown out of better places," I sniffed as we left the establishment.
