You may have to take a wrong turn to cross paths Scott, we left Kalama and headed over to Astoria today, a nice pleasant, relaxed drive. We are sitting in a nice spot at Fort Stevens. The campground is full but we don't feel crowded. The connection I have is pretty poor so pictures maybe tomorrow I can post a few.

Cheers, Dan

Hi Gail, I'm glad you are out having fun. When I didn't hear from you I thought you were mad at me. We did see several Airstreams but I couldn't tell which one was yours.

We did have a pleasant drive to Astoria. This is the view from the bridge over the Columbia at Longview.

We camped at South Beach. No hookups but only $5 with our Golden Age Pass and a million dollar view.

I think we might have woken him up too early.

We made it home with no problems after a one week trip. We did 705 miles and I think the only bad thing was all the good food we may have eaten just a little too much. I'm afraid to check the scale.

Cheers, Dan

It is with a heavy heart that I must tell you that we lost our beloved Hagar. More than three years ago he beat cancer after having a fast growing malignant tumer removed from his head but he just couldn't out run the effect of old age on his body. Traveling in the Hagarstream will never be the same without him.

I never had the pleasure of meeting that fine fellow, but Tincrumpet has provided an extraordinary peak into his life. How lucky was he to be loved so much and to so obviously love in return? I am so sorry for your loss - I hope that the memories will create warmth in your heart...

Dogs, in our lives and hearts...

SmartStream, I can understand your pain.

We lost one of ours a few years ago, and have still trouble thinking about Quinn.

He raised my daughter, in some ways. She could teach him a trick in 10 minutes or less. They played together like litter mates.

Cancer took him before his time.

All of our past dogs will be waiting for us, whole and healthy once again on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge--that I am sure of...all dogs do go to heaven, they just have to wait, faithfully as ever, for us to get there too.

Hello Fellow Airstreamers, It has been awhile but the mood just wasn’t right. First I want to thank you all for the kind words and thoughts. We have been out and about but it was a rough fall/ winter. We had two deaths in the family and spent several weeks in California and running back and forth. We spent many nights in the Hagarstream but it just wasn’t the same.
Enough of the bad news, now some good news. We adopted a Great Dane puppy in early January. He is a harlequin and weighs 140 lbs. and is now 8 months old. He has been quite a handful so we named him Rascal because that is exactly what he is.
We have taken Rascal on a few short trips getting him used to the Hagarstream, yes it will always be the Hagarstream, and now we are on his first great adventure. We are camped at Meziadin Lake en route to Alaska. We had a few issues getting started, leaving the camera battery charger at home. There are not many of those available in the small towns of British Columbia so we took a side trip to Kamloops to find one.
We started with quick visit with Linc and Judy without their beautiful 37’ moho but they did send us off with a bag of delicious homemade cookies. We spent the first night in the city of Hope, a beautiful little town on the Fraser River. The next day we followed the river gorge north to Cache Creek and then to Kamloops in search of a battery charger. We got lucky and found one at the first stop. From there it was up to Lake Sheridan. We had a great site right on the edge of the lake. Rascal hasn’t worked up the nerve to stick a paw in the water yet.
The next day we made it to Prince George and stayed in a small park that claimed to have Wi-Fi. Yeah right. In trying to get connected my computer’s Wi-Fi card shut down and wouldn’t restart. Fortunately we found a kid at the Future Shop in Prince George. He played with it for about 30 minutes and finally got it running. I felt pretty lucky finding this kid on a Saturday morning.
We opted to take the Cassiar Hwy north. It is a more difficult road but is supposed to be more scenic. Irene finally saw her first moose and got some great pictures. We spent the night in Old Hazelton. Today we traveled to Meziadin Lake Park which is the most beautiful park in all of British Columbia and Alaska according to the tour book. We have a great site right on the lake but the mosquitoes are unbelievable.
I will try to post some pictures later but this is the first time I have been able to connect to the internet and it is a marginal connection at best.

Hi, have a great trip; Wish we were there again with you. At Prince George, we stopped at the Costco to buy a Garmin GPS; We named her Princess Georgette. We call her Georgette, for short, and a few other names at times too.

That's the place Bob. We are in the site about 2 sites to the left of your last photo. How did you like the Cassiar Hwy?

Yes the Hagarstream will live on. Puppy energy is putting it mildly. I look forward to having you along on the trip.
