I got lucky and didn't get hit. The critter was not so lucky...

Hubby had plenty of experience with scorpions in his combat boots while in the military. Fortunately, haven't seen any here in the Houston area, but the fire ants make up for that.

Since it appears squirrel cholesterol isn't an issue, anyone have a craft beer or wine recommendation?

Finally after ten of fifteen minutes the attack ceases. Flo has some new dents although not as bad as it could have been.

Wife has taken it in stride and takes it for the humor value. I bummed about the dents, but it is kind of funny.

We call them Devil Squirrels (see the pic and you cab see why) although they are really called Douglas Squirrels. They are quite entertaining but I have learned to not park the AS under conifer trees of possible while camping this time of year in the Sierra Nevada or Cascade Mountains!

Snakes not good. I don't mind the FL Black Snake. We see them in our yard quite often but the water moccasins and now the pythons are becoming more common. We have seen two water mocs this year. One in the yard and one at the entrance of the RV storage place in the water pond at the side. We had several squirrels in our neighborhood up until about last spring. Three red tailed hawks have been hunting the area and almost everything has vanished except it seems the water mocs!

Back from our trip and was surprised at the number of responses. Getting video would have been good entertainment but I wasn't thinking. .45 would have worked except that I barely qualified when I was in the Navy. Hitting a moving target would be next to impossible not to mention Mr Ranger would have thrown me into the park jail for discharging a firearm. Dog idea was good except we have two Golden retrievers and I don't think I have heard them bark more than a couple of times. Attached some pictures of Mr Squirrel, the trees from which he was reining terror, and the trailer with blankets. Couldn't get a good picture of dents. They are more like dimples.

BTW, we will take squirrels over snakes any day!

plus when the trees are like 500 ft tall the pine cones are coming in a mach 5 does not help..

a good sling shot and some of the steel ball might help
