The Adventures of Rich
February 13 - 17, 2012/Dockweiler Beach in Playa del Rey, SoCal.
This was my first trip since buying my new 2012 Airstream Sport 16 in January. I was in space number 1 with my nearest neighbor about 20 spaces away, until 2 days before I left. Then a 2001 19' Bambi parked 2 spaces away from me. The morning I left I got to talk with Bob and Anita and get Stream tips, and compare notes. They have gone cross country several times, and had a lot to share. Nice people.
Here are a few pics, as I promised in another thread:
[clockwise from top left] 1) Funny how backing in looks much narrower from inside your TV, but huge space when I got out and looked. 2) At first, most of my neighbors were a few huge Motorhomes down at the far end. 3) Initially, this was my best view of the ocean, until late the first morning when they came out with bulldozers and took away the sand berm. Then it was panoramic every day. 4) Bob and Anita pulled in while I was away one afternoon. Our schedules kept us from meeting until the morning I was leaving. Fortunately checkout wasn't until noon, so I got a chance to visit and chat with them before leaving.

A few more...
I am going back next week, so I guess I should add a few more from that first trip.
1) Proud owner/beachcomber. 2) Ahhh. Fresh coffee each morning.
3)The beach...just outside my door. 4) My own private bike path (ok, I shared with others, but it was so close it seemed like mine.)

Lol. Now my jeep could have done that, but it was actually dozers from LA County. They took away the berm so I could see the ocean.
