Texas to Glacier, Montana, & on the way back

Airstream Travels
Picasa Web Albums - Tom

Above are our blog and web album. For those interested, we are in an 84 31' Excella. We are about 3000 miles into our 5000 mile trip. So far all problems have been fairly minor.

First problem was the bathroom door fell off on a rough road. It was fixed with some new stronger stainless steel screws from a hardware store in Colorado. Next the black tank valve handle broke and was fixed quickly by Bretz RV in Mizzoula. A couple of the passes were a little tough on the Silverado but we made them all so far (highest was 9400 feet and it was under construction). Life is good on the road.

It has been great being away from the Texas heat for a few weeks.

Right now we are in Arco Idaho going to see Craters of the Moon tomorrow and then on to Moab to tour Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. Then to Mesa Verde and to Albuquerque for the Four Corners Rally at the first of October.

Glad to see people taking 31' trailers on long trips. Nice photo album. You've been in the high country before.

Eastern South Dakota is very pretty with hills, rivers, and trees.

Great pictures. My wife and I did Black Hills and Yellowstone in '08 and had a great time. Enjoy your trip...it's still hot in Texas!
