Suggestions on where to camp in Monroe, La?

We are currently in Weatherford, Texas and are enroute to Orlando. We are planning on driving about 350+/- miles a day which would put us in Monroe, La. I haven't had any luck finding a campground in that area.... Any suggestions?

Cheers,

SMHx4

Trailer Life Directory lists 3. This is a great resource, might want to pick one up. Pavillion RV park, West Monroe, is Good Sam and AAA---888-322-4216. Travel safe.

I have never stayed at Pavillion. It looks much better than the RV park on the east side of Monroe.

You should consider stopping at the Lincoln Parish Park in Ruston. 30 miles west of Monroe in a nice college town. Rich Luhr has written about it in his Tour of America blog. Search for Ruston, LA on that blog. The campground website is Untitled Page

Back and forth between CO and FL we take I-49 south from Shreveport towards I-10 and Baton Rouge. There is a nice state park, Chicot State Park about 5 miles off the Interstate just south of Alexandria. Very nice secluded spot.

Poverty Point State Park is less than 40 miles further along I-20. It is fairly new and the facilities are very good including full hook-ups if you want.

Take exit 153 at Delhi and go north about 3 miles
