Storing Sewer Solution

Howdy,

Just about time for my first black tank with a Sewer Solution and it occurred to me I'm not sure how to store it after use.....

How do you do store it?

Thanks,

Warren

We have been using the Sewer Solution for over twelve years, and have almost 2,000 nights of Airstream camping. We store our Sewer Solution and hoses in the outside front left storage compartment on our 25FB.

Storing Sewer Solution

While on the road, I coil mine up neatly in a crate in the back of the tow vehicle after I clean it thoroughly using its back flush system.
When AS is in storage that crate is in the floor in the Airstream. It contains all the tools, chocks, cables, etc needed for setup at a campsite.

My '58 Traveler has a tube that was for a sewer hose (too small for toady's bayonets) and the 3 10' hoses fit nicely in there. When in our motorhome I simply coil the 40' of hoses and secure in the water bay.

I use a Sterlite latching storage bin. Holds all of the sewer related items. Figure that after rinsing the hose with fresh water, all is good.

It's one of these gadgets:

https://www.amazon.com/Valterra-SS01...sewer+solution

Here is a link to a video that shows it in action:

I use one, find it to me MUCH more convenient that the standard "Stinky Slinky" large diameter sewer hose. For me, the advantage is that it is easy to store and use, is totally self-cleaning, can backflush both gray and black tank easily, and will pump tank contents uphill some distance if necessary. The reach can easily be extended with 1" PVC pipe sections or their extension hose assembly. I did add a short clear section at my dump connection to make it easier to install and to see when the tanks are clean. (Not my favorite show, but fascinating...)

I must admit I (may) have a totally unused "Stinky Slinky" in the storage tube under my Airstream from the factory--but I never have used the darn thing...its like getting in a wrestling match with an Anaconda...with a bad case of diarrhea.

My question is. What if the sewer pipe is further than 10 ft from the RV?? Many parks that we have been in requires more sewer drain pipe than 10 feet. Being this system
Only comes with a 10 foot hose then what??

We picked up an extension hose off of eBay for $15. 20’ of flexible hose available, though we’ve never used the extension.

Thanks!

Having smooth bore it gets pretty clean and I suppose wont stink up too much! I found a perfect bin and it fits the SS as well as a Zero G hose.

We carry our Sewer Solution with three additional ten foot hoses. This gives us a 40' range.
