Mis (stereo) typed

If you really want to test your "stereo typing" acumen, attend a few motorcycle rallies/functions. Having moved from the Biker World to the Airstream World (aka trading long necks and wet-t contests for wine tasting and pot-luck dinners), I discovered quickly that it is next to impossible to peg the average Harley rider. Some of the "baddest looking dudes" are "real life" professionals living their "alter ego" for the moment, dressed as pirates. The movie "Wild Hogs" was a great parody on that subject. There are many similarities between Airstreamers and Harley riders.....almost fanatical product loyalty, the desire to band together for events or rides/caravans, and I even noticed in a recent Airsteam publication that a lady had gotten an Airstream tatoo (just hope the desire for the wet-t contests does not catch on because of our age group). I've also noticed a few pirate flags have been mentioned in postings (don't know what's up with that), but if "dew rags" start showing up in place of "berets".....I'm there!

Now where did I put that wine opener.....Oh well, I'll just punch a hole in the box with my pocket knife.

i got you all beat i have 2 200 thread count sheets on my bed that equals 400.

a plastic goblet that from a distance looks like crystal, and i found a really expensive bottle of wine that had already been drank, i find it cheaper and easier to fill it with wine in a box. and as long as i don't get caught know one will be the wiser

Custom made bedding, swanky plastic goblets and a dinner table that's set with REAL dishes! No paper plates.. real stuff...

Hubby drinks beer... mostly imports.

I had a guy at a campground look at me and say, "oh, you're one of THOSE campers... you airstream folks sure are UNIQUE..."

DUH!

I think he was jealous....LOL!

They usually get over their jealousy when I show up for pot luck with a pitcher of something filled with ice and strong enough to strip the gel coat off their SOB...I usually have to pour them back into their trailers by the time dinner is over.

Great Idea!

I like Osolow's idea. I've actually thought of that one before....dig out an expensive bottle and refill it with Franzia

Cool

This is awesome! When traveling with our Bambi, we can't resist washing it at the campground so it stays nice and shiney! The last trip in it, we made cosmopolitans and drank them from martini glasses while washing and drying off the trailer... I do try and iron a few shirts before we go camping, you just gotta try and look good with these trailers!!

Keeping Up Appearances

I try to eat right, maintain good health and also take my vitamins while travelling. I keep this EMPTY box visible inside the trailer when I travel.

I do my part by hiding the Milwaukee's Best 12 pack box. I also crush my MB cans so that they can be mistaken for premium empties.
