The last time I was at Pearl Lake the campground was old, with no services and in the shade. Pine beetles have eaten all the mature lodgepole so the shade may be gone. Like many of the older campgrounds some of the sites are tent only. Steamboat Lake Campground is a jewel, newer with services and many sites having lake and mountain views
Best fly fishing on the Yampa is right in downtown Steamboat because the limit is restricted. If the budget allows it, book a float trip on the lower Yampa. There are northern pike mixed in with the trout and it is a real surprise to hook a ten pounder on a wooly bugger.
If you are willing to drive an hour and twenty minutes to fish, drive to North Park, there is public fishing on the North Platte and its tributaries.

Have fun I'm sure you'll have an awesome trip. Be aware that the later you head up there this summer the rivers are probably going to be low flow due to the poor snowpack this year. Right now the fishing is fantastic, had a 25+ day last Saturday. Also Bring bug spray as the pests can come out in the summer, not always as it depends on the conditions. I've been up there with few Mosquitos and then other years they were thick.
