Do you mean reserve? It is not really necessary they have plenty of spots.

I would go ahead and make the reservation. At least that way you will find out if they have a rally or something during that time. It is run by the club and I am sure they would appreciate you making the reservation.
I like Top of Gergia.

I think they close the area below the creek in the winter, but not sure. Still should be plenty of room. The main thing I miss by owning an Avion after selling my AS is staying at TOG. Jim

When we called about staying in May they said no need to reserve.

IMHO, it is not much more than a parking lot with hookups. I've been by there dozens of times and always remarked that I did not see the attraction to staying there. Right on a busy highway with lots of loud motorcycles and trucks going by. Not for me.

We have camped there several times over the years. It has been pretty nice and the price is right. We like to stay at Top of Georgia to visit Helen and the surrounding mountain areas.

I'd much rather stay at Vogel SP and pay the extra fees. At least you are in the trees.

Thank you, I guess it is all about perception.

When we can, we often stay at the various Airstream only campgrounds. We have probably stayed at about half of them. We like them because they are always reasonable to WBCCI Members. We also like the little bit of exposure to other Airstreamers. At most of these parks, you are welcomed like family.

As we are not congregators or ralliers, this is as close as we get to going to an Airstream gathering.

So you've been by there but never camped. Pretty poor way to assess something. Remember at an AS campground You are with other AS. At Vogel any old riffraff could be next to you, and usually is. Peace, jim

To each his own. We prefer to stay places where we are the only AS. That is how we roll. I don't need to stay someplace to know I wouldn't be happy there. I have talked to friends who have stayed there and they did not like the experience.
