South from Victoria BC to San Diego

We are leaving Nov 25th for San Diego and looking for recommendations on where to stop along the way. We will have five weeks to work with and want to see San Francisco and Pebble Beach for sure. Because of the weather possibilities we will take two days to northern California. We like to stay in an area for a few days to see and experience the place. Any suggestions would be welcome.

Northern calif. 101 highway ,red woods, there are very reasonable state camp grounds, also look for fairgrounds most have rv sites with hookups. At San Diego we always stay at Mission Bay, after Jan, it might change, very reasonable......
