I have a small level in the magazine rack just inside the door. I put it on the doorsill to level the trailer. This is the way the mechanic at Jackson Center said to do it.

I would love a pdf copy of your travel checklist! I am a checklist freak and yours sounds like a great starting point. I tried to send you a PM, but I guess I haven't posted enough to be trusted. Maybe you can PM me and I can send you my email?

Thank you all who responded. Had some Amazon gift cards from work so just bought some of the things that were suggested. Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

You need less than you may imagine. Try a few short trips. Note things you wish you had packed, as well as stuff you didn't use. Before your next trip, grab stuff in the first category and dump stuff from the second.

I'm not going to officially admit that our last couple cross country trips involved five doggies, and the next may involve six. But hey, when rescued pups come in pairs, what can you do?

Have two on my lap right now-- maltese-poodle mixes, we think, that were living in the street and now need/demand lots of lap time.

Dogs truly need their people to stay sane, I think. 😀

A dog in the lap gives the human a sense of sanity by being enveloped in the cocoon of unquestioned love from the dog.
