Shreveport, LA campground needed

We are fixin' to be in Shreveport, LA, the week of Oct 16-23, 2011. The location of our function (98th Bomb Group reunion) is the "Holiday Inn Downtown, 102 Lake St., Shreveport, LA". It would be ideal to find a nice RV park nearby to park our 2011 FC23FB, for the week. There is a possibility that we can use the FamCmp at Barksdale AFB, but because they don't take reservations, its an iffy proposition. Any suggestions would be welcome.

I was on the road in your country for 173 days last winter and this was one of the best places that I stayed at.

You have a Corp Of Eng and a National Forest Service in the area both are listed in Reservation. gov for reservation. Cost about $8 per night if you have the Sr. Card.

Welcome to Tall Pines RV Park

Stayed at the Fam Camp there at Barksdale a couple of weeks ago.......Clean with to many permanent type folks taking up room so getting a good spot is kinda hard.........Try it though cause you cant beat the security........God bless........Dennis

Well we are currently sitting in the fam camp at Barksdale,,, beautiful spot,,, no problems yet, we'll be here till next Sat. Tall Pines was plan B, and I'm going to drive by there to check it out for future reference, Tnx for all the responses.
