Shower Door

Hello fellow ASers--

I'm headed out in a couple days and am wondering how to secure the shower door (2004 AS Classic 34 LH)--it pops open by itself if I bump it (AS not totally level), and I need suggestions on how to make it stay shut on the road.

Thanks!

It should have a little knob to turn and lock the door closed for travel.

There is a knob--however, the back part is missing. I guess I'll need to order a new one... in the meantime....

Thanks, Overstreet.

If you are fortunate to have the newer style shower door retainer you might be in luck. I'm not sure when the cut-off was but the older style ( which I have) is no longer available. I use a small spring clamp to keep the door closed when traveling. The magnet is sufficient when in use but I don't trust it for travel. Our trailer is a 2001 so keep your fingers crossed.

Thanks, Polarlyse -- not sure what a "spring clamp" is...

just type it in Amazon and you will get the idea. Will work great until you find a better solution for securing the door for travel. Make sure to get a smaller one so you can fit it in the space at the top

spring tension rod.. or some duct tape, carefully applied the length of the door jamb side for about a foot.

then get the replacement knob lock thingy.
