Wow - I'm not 100% that I check for latches on windows :O

My kids like to fiddle with those too so I'll need to make sure I check it

Forget if that one is in the newb guide checklist I use

Last trip I had thought I closed all drawers but one I had not and it flopped out in transit (ironically the lightest drawer and had installed before this new latches that are stronger - helps to actually make sure they are latched lol

Ok, here is my list again only in a format that is editable and also openable for those on a tablet or phone.

This list does not include food, clothing or on board equipment.

I'm also pretty much in 'AtomicNo13's' camp...

1. Stow the loose & attached stuff.
2. Hook up the big Aluminum 'tube'.
3. Walk around and admire your work.
4. Hit the road and stop to check what you forgot if a passing motorist honks or flashes their lights at you...

As noted above, any precious liguids should be capped and properly stowed in their foam lined containers...

I'm a retired fighter pilot and decided a checklist was the only way to go early on, after a few near catastrophes.

I use an iphone app called RVcompanion that allows me to quickly build checklists that you can actually "check" as you do the steps. It is very easy to update, and now I have no excuses for missed items.

I've got checklists for
"Before Taxi" including things I've missed before like lock exterior oven vent and ensure frig is locked closed.
"Taxi checks" including pull forward 1 car length to check for things my four year old decided needed to be placed under the trailer.
"Camping MESL" military jargon for Minimum Essential Systems List for when things are going bad, do I launch this sortie or abort? I use this for when a late notice decision to go camping was made...ie will we freeze and/or can we go without stopping at Costco on the way out of town?

And then winterize and de-winterize checklist since I only do those things once per year.

The app has a diary/log that I don't keep up and a bubble level which I do use often. If oriented correctly it will tell which end/side to level and approx how much.

We have designated "jobs" or tasks or chores and we double check each other. I mostly get the outside ready to go while my wife gets the inside ready to go. We double check items on the list we have missed in the past.
Somehow I have managed to drive away with the sewer cap off twice. One of the nubs is warn down considerably due to dragging the pavement.

I couldn't find the app in the itunes app store. Does it go by another name now? Does it cost $9.99?

ok you guys....you've sent me to the app store seeing what would work. There are over 600 apps available when searching for 'checklist app' !!
So far of the few freebies I've messed with, SlickTasksLite seems promising.
I also grabbed 'Level' ( bubble level ) also a freebie. Free is good

More to come !

Show us your CHECKLISTS

It looks like the app might not have been updated in awhile, but it works for me.

I also use Evernote, which is overkill for for this situation but it has some checklisting features as well.

Show us your CHECKLISTS

Now that I think about it I use Packing Pro for business trips and deployment prep/packing. It looks and behaves like a checklist and could easily be adapted for camping checklists.

It also syncs across the cloud so you could run it from iPhone or iPad.

As long as you have some dependable method you actually use, that's what counts.
