Okay...here's an update.

I'll let Michelle fill in the details, but I just left her, Sara & her trailer at a friend's (Coloradobus) house, they have room for her to overnight - better than the Wal-Mart that she stayed at last night. She's busy trying to clean things up and is planning on going to the local dealer in the morning to see if she can continue on her travels or ???

The Airstream and her truck are a mess - the truck is fixable - looks bad but nothing that can't be fixed, not so sure about the trailer. I'm sure she'll post an update once she knows what's going on ~ just know she is safe.

Shari

Thanks Shari for letting us know Michelle's alright.

Michelle, I can't believe this has happened to you again! You poor girl. Our hearts go out to you. We are rejoicing that you were not hurt.

Jimmy and I know all too well the sick feeling you had at the scene and the grief you are experiencing right now. We totaled ours just a little over a year ago. If we had to do it over again, we would have tried much harder to see if our damaged trailer couldn't be repaired instead of totaling it. But, on the other hand, Jimmy says that it was probably for the best because he doesn't know if he could have ever felt entirely safe pulling it again, even with all the repairs that would have needed to have been done.

The pictures are a testament to both your driving skills and the good Lord protecting you. There is a lot to be thankful for.

As with Shari's response - I will let Michelle answer specifics. She called last night from the side of the road to get me to email her some phone numbers for AS in Denver. From what she told me the large police SUV impacted front drivers side on the truck and then traveled down the side to the AS and hit the gap between the truck/trailer and smacked the trailer hard. Took out the towing mirror and front (?) rim on the truck. Bummer, but she was safe and that's all that matters. Inspection tomarrow at the local dealer.

Michelle, be safe and let us know of your progress.

You should see the scuff marks on sidewalls of the tires. They flexed a lot!

It was a no fault accident since the police office said he had his lights on. That is the best I could hope for when dealing with the law..

Thank You. All I heard was Bang the mirrow break and a another bang. Next thing I knew I was fighting for control on the truck an trailer. I managed to keep it on the pavement but the people following me said it was close to coming off the shoulder. I got it slowed down and on the shoulder and stopped. Then had to check my underware.

I am not sure she's done for, but it won't be inexpensive to repair. Glad no injuries happened.

Any tickets issued? If not, seems like the fuzz owes you either a repair or replacement......
It will be close weather she is done for. The trailer has reduced value from the accident in October 06.
No ticket. I expect the insurance company to be going after the police department because I have a witness that says he just moved into my lane.

Steve,
There will be no olympics. An 09 is not the direction I would be going. I want a vintage trailer since it looks like I will be buying a house in Missoula!
