Steve,
There will be no olympics. An 09 is not the direction I would be going. I want a vintage trailer since it looks like I will be buying a house in Missoula!

That happened to us last year in the insanity of Phoenix, only Bess resisted; little dweeb
slammed into us at the same kind of interchange, she caught our rear bumper & slid along
the roadside. Ripped the whole side of her car apart. Bess?, broken latch on pull-out and
bent hot water door+ trashed already bumper.. She bailed, later learned the car was stolen. Scared the weebie out of me; I know how you feel, Michelle.

Bad new maybe but according to the people following me I was nor far from having another rollover and a much worse one. It was a good day all in all.

I never saw the police cruiser that hit me after the fact. However the police report showed damage all along the right side of the vehicle.

You know what they say, any landing you can walk away from is a good one--A great landing, you can re-use the aircraft. Hopefully it will turn out to be a great landing...

BTW, Michelle, if it looks like you are going to be on the ground here in Denver for longer than a few days, I have a nice vacation rental house in Evergreen that be happy to have you stay in.

Michelle, thank God you kept the situation under control, and got through it without injury. I can't imagine what an impact like that would feel like through the steering wheel.

How fast were you going? How much sway was generated?

He did continue back to his call. It was behind me.
I hope not to be around long around enough to take you up on that offer.

Michelle so sorry to hear of the accident. Thank heavens you were able to get over and stop and not be injured. I hope the insurance works speedily with you. Congratulations on your new home. And it is very heartening to know friends are there to help you. I can't imagine your necessity to pull the damaged Airstream further on your journey East, if you are still going ahead with your plans. But will you be needing places to stay along the way now? Perhaps we can all help out in that regard. Let us know what is happening. At the very least the Airstream should be transported for your convenience and your travel taken care of particularly since it was through no fault of your own.

Carol,
It is heartning to have people who care. I am fairly sure she will be towable to Jackson Center. I slept in it last night and tonight. If it can be made highway worthy I will take it to JC and have it evaluated for repair or a brief ceramony in her honor.

You have quite the reserve of fortitude Michelle. You know we all are thinking of you and marveling at your strength and resilience to never miss a beat no matter what adversity is thrown your way. I am very glad to know you. Hope the rest of your trip is nicer than the beginning.

I am glad you are ok!.

Not to start a legal advice free for all, but you need to visit with an attorney. Light and sirens on an emergency vehicle is a sign of them asking for the right-of-way, and by law you must give it to them in a safe and controlled manor. Any accident in between is the fault of the emergency vehicle, if they intruded into your lane.

I hope things work out well for you, whatever you choose.

Michelle,
I am so glad that you and all aboard are alive -n- well~!
The A/S, I feel that JC could fix.
The question remains to be answered, how long will it take them to fix it and, can you wait for it to be repaired.
The good news is, if there is one, JC work load has to be less for this time of the year.
Good Luck to you..

Wow --- I'm new to towing a trailer and have to say that this is my nightmare! I am uncertain of my abilities (as they've never been tested) and I am using a TV that is not nearly as adequate. Your accident has me thinking ....
So glad you & your kitty were not injured and that you are (mentally) able to still sleep in your AS! I think I'd be too sick. I wish you luck at JC.

Michelle, We have been reading this thread with horror for the last couple of days. What a bummer thing to happen. We are so glad that you and Sarah were not injured. It is so sad to see Butter Cup all banged up.

I can't help but say to Marie and Terry, you two have also been an inspiration to us in your indomitable spirit and good cheer.

Michelle, anxious to hear an update on the truck and AS and if they are road worthy for the long trip ahead.
