Shakedown Cruise!!

Friday afternoon (assuming I get outta work at a decent time, wish me luck on that one) I'll be "shifting colors" and taking the brand, spanking new Bambi up to the Strom Thurmond lake north of Augusta for her shakedown cruise! My unit is having a big spring picnic on Sat afternoon at <a href=">Points West Rec Center </a>, and I've decided it's the perfect debut of my little darling!

I never got up the courage to unhitch her this week. In my defense, work was a little crazy... um, yeah. But now I'll be forced to, and for me I think that's good. Plus, it'll be at an RV park, so they'll be lotsa people around with their RVs. I have my handy instructions from you lovely folks along with my manuals and my notes from the folks at Out-of-Doors Mart... wish me luck!

I'll take pictures of her maiden voyage to share!

How cool! Slow and easy. Thats the trick, and I not talking about the driving. I had a paper checklist for a while with my first 5th wheel, a SOB. It did save my tail once or twice.

ENJOY your trip!!

Now there is the adventure in you coming out. Hit the road and have some fun. Tow slow at first and get the feel, stay on some secondary roads to get use to the tow. Get some pictures for you and us to see. Have fun and thank you for your service to our country.

Congratulations Hayley!

The new Bambi's are nice trailers! Just the right size for towing. Take it easy your first time out. Careful is better than faster until you are accustomed to towing the trailer.

Good luck........we will be waiting for those pictures!

Best of luck on your maiden voyage. You'll be in a good place to get some help and training in handling the Bambi.

Good luck with your first outing. You'll have a great time.

We'll be taking out AS out the first weekend in May for it's shakedown cruise. Will be meeting Phil/Edee in Floyd VA since they're travelling through the area.
