Sedona Arizona Campgrounds

Anybody recommend anything? I was planning to fly, but the road beckons. I'll probably take the 22 CCD rather than the 25 FB SE.

Today is a gift, that's why they call it the present.

We were there a year or so back in our 22 CCD and stayed at Rancho Sedona. Not fancy, but nice and comfy. They did not have WIFI when we were there.

Hi Paula, I lived in Sedona AZ from 86 to 91. I am sure it has changed a lot since then. There is a campground real close to town, can't remember the name of it, but it is expensive. There are several campgrounds in Cottenwood about 20 miles from Sedona. If you belong to the Elks Club they will give you eletric for a donation, nothing fancy but cheap. Enjoy yourself, that is a great place to visit. Marvin

Outside Sedona

Hey there. Saw a link come in from this thread, so thought I'd see what was being talked about.

I'm in Prescott, AZ. Not too far from Sedona. While there is a park in Sedona, it was FULL! Really full. And it seems to stay that way. While visiting Sedona I stayed at Distant Drums which is a few exits down 17 from Sedona. Then I pulled over to Prescott because it is such a cute town. Been here almost 4 months now.

If you need any information on the area, let me know. Really great spot, Sedona is beautiful too, and there's plenty to do!

Oh, I had to edit my post because I forgot to say I'm staying at Point of Rocks RV park. Extremely beautiful spot, and if you've seen my recent photos in the evening, all shots were taken from the park area on the surrounding rocks. Amazing!

Smile Oh, one more thing

No matter where you stay, I do encourage you to spend a few days walking among the Red Rocks of Sedona. They're amazing. Also, be sure to take a ride up to Jerome (near Cottonwood). That place is quite a site, built right into the mountain.

Currently in Prescott we're seeing near 100 degrees, which means Sedona is warmer, as they're at a lower elevation than us. The evenings have been cooling to the high 50's or low 60's. I'm just making sure to avoid Phoenix right now. Blast furnace down there!!!
