Seattle to Montreal

Heading out in a couple of weeks from Seattle to Montreal. My hubby was born in Montreal, going to visit his family. Take around 2 weeks to get there.

Taking the northern route thru Montana. Hope to head towards Jackson Ohio to see the Airstream factory, then towards Niagara falls and onto Montreal. Any suggestions? Tips/
Places to stay, visit, tour?

This is all new to us.

Sounds like a wonderful trip. I would like to do that one year as I have wanted to see Montreal and Quebec especially with fall colors. Please post your route, stays, etc.

Your dollar is high at this point. The Trans Canada Route one way at least should be considered. Probably going east, and returning by JC, Ohio.
Check the miles, as it is considerably shorter to Montreal on the norther route.

we made this trip headed for Maine. didn't want the traffic congestion in the mid west so crossed at Sault ste Marie. much nicer driving on the Canadian side. road way across N Dakota is probably the straightest E-W road i have ever been on, not a wiggle and super boring.
