Scenes from a marriage while on the road...
I do the manly stuff like start up the generator and fill up the fresh water tank, not to mention the four water jugs and two gasoline cans, put on and take off the 50 lb hitch, swap out a burned out electrical receptacle, connect the waste hose for the gray and black water, load up the truck bed, and try to stay fit so I can lift the heavy stuff.
She works her magic in the cramped Airstream kitchen every day and makes the world right for me with flavorful whole foods.
As a friend said to me, we're equally yoked to the same dream.
And then I go sit outside and do some hard thinking as to our next move...

Yeah, we do that, too. Sometimes I think I get the better deal because the "man stuff" is not as time consuming as the "girl stuff".

That's what we do except sometimes I get to cook bad for you but tastes so good dinners and I'm in charge of morning coffee.

Doug did the outside stuff, I took care of inside stuff. Now, I do it all.
He grilled, and made the coffee. Really good coffee....and served it to me.
I didn't know how to make the coffee when he died.....had to do some experimenting, but eventually figured it out.
I still haven't grilled....but have some marinated pork tenderloin in the freezer, and I'm starting to think about it.

Who gets to pick out the music?
To me that is the task that really defines who is feeling in charge that day!

Susan just hollers at me and usually do what I'm told. (shuuuuuu, don't tell her I said this, but she still hasn't figured out the tongue jack)

I have to add navigation and walking the dog just prior to going to bed to my list of "blue" chores.

.....equally yoked to the same dream.....I adore all that phrase conveys. Yours is a pretty picture.
In a few weeks we will begin to sort out this pastime called 'streaming.

Similar to our separation of duties. We do site positioning together and manage to remain calm doing so!

Well I must say, it looks like a very good life for both of you. The truck appears to be well stocked and ready for just about anything.
My lovely wife and I, like most I suspect, have a clear delineation of duties, pretty much she sets up and tears down the inside, while, I'm happy to say, am very content doing the outside stuff. I think a throwback to the "caveman" days?
Question, if you don't mind sharing. With apparently no other campers around, it would appear you might be on BLM land; again, if you don't mind, where were the pictures taken, it looks truly amazing, and we're always looking for new places to camp removed from the hustle-bustle that can be found in many established campgrounds.

I do all the outside stuff (rolling up the mat, wheel chocks, stabilizers, coupling to the truck) while she is doing all the inside stuff (putting things away in lockers or cabinets, letting down the television antenna). I do the shore cord, sewer, and water last to give her a chance to wash dishes or do any cleaning. After I roll up the shore cord, sewer hose, and water hose, we lock the trailer and drive away. Reverse order when arriving at a campsite.
While at camp, I still do outside stuff and she still does inside stuff. I build the fire and cook outside. She does inside food prep.

Well it took me a little while to figure out that all these chores, bot his and hers, make camping fun. Setting on you ass and doing nothing is not fun. Working together to see all the beauty of the world is fun, rewarding and we like it. I feel for those who loose a partner.
