Saratoga, WY or Craig, CO camping recommendations

Hi everyone. I am planning to be the sag wagon with my AS 23fb for some friends doing the Bicycle Tour de Colorado and fly fish while they ride.

Do you have any campsite recommendations near either of these cities that are not too far from town and ten to be more quiet and scenic? I like the sorts of sites that are less crowded and I do have boon docking gear so don't have to have electric.

Nearer to fly fishing would be great!

Thanks.

We have stayed at the city park in Meeker, CO. It is located 47 miles south of Craig right on the White River. They have 30amp hookups, water is available as well as a dump station. The park is a block off the main road and a pretty good Italian restaurant. It was a self serve $15 fee 2 year ago.

Thanks, AZ. Looks nice and it is a bonus to have electric!

Some years ago we camped at Saratoga. Right outside of town on a lake. Not sure if it was a county park or a city run park but it was very nice and quiet. Watch out for the skeeters if it's warm. They are hungary. Don't miss the free hot spring in town. It's right next to the public pool. There is a charge to use the pool if it's open but the adjacent spring is a freebee and not to be missed.

ENJOY
