Sarasota Lakes RV Park is nice place

Just wanted to say this is a very nice RV park with spotless showers and laundry. It offers sites with sewer, water, electric, and cable TV. There's wifi at the office, but we've tethered our cell phone, so it doesn't matter to us.

There are also park models here, but many RVs and several Airstreams.

It is very dog friendly and has great roads for bicycling. It is near the Ringling Museum, Lido Beach, St. Armands Circle, and the airport.

Only downside is a few times a day and into the early evening. planes taking off from SRQ are quite low still and very, very loud. But, SRQ is a small airport with no flights in or out during the night, so it doesn't bother us. Everyone here is accustomed to it and just pauses conversation, sort of like folks who live near a train track.

Rate is about $36 per night, but cheaper by month. Nice Pool, hot tubs, free library, and regular cook outs, etc. Very friendly place. We will come back here. Convenient to some of the area's finest dining.

Can't believe the sound of jet engines and the smell of jet fuel could possibly bother anyone. Nothing like fog in the morning and the sound of jets launching from the deck.

Did you notice I got me a new boat called "The Black Pearl" over here? It's bigger than our AS!

We enjoyed talking to the real owner and learned you and he are from the same state and WBCCI club.

That last plane was a little late! I like the way all of you here have just learned to pause, kinda' freeze, when one takes off, and then resume the conversation as if nothing happened! LOL

I looked at Google Earth and saw a trailer site at the end of a big runway in Sarasota, Florida. I thought that must be the subject location. Looks nice!
