Santa Fe RV Parks

Hello,

I'm sure there has been a lot writter already about Santa Fe. I'm not sure how to find it and would welcome any feedback from fellow Airstreamers.

Susan, welcome to the forum. I am assuming that you are talking about Santa Fe, NM. If so, just follow Buggs Bunny's directions on how to get to Pismo Beach and turn left at Albuquerque! Seriously, the easiest way is to get to I-25 and come North from Albuquerque or South on I-25 from Eastern Colorado. One park that I would recommend is Santa Fe Skys. They are just off I-25 at the junction with NM 599. Nice folks, clean park and good views - on top of a hill. Full hook-ups, showers, and laundry. They have hosted several Airstream rallies.

Several other parks in town - one is seasonal - PM if you have more questions or need additional info.

Use the search feature on the upper blue bar. I did and a long list of threads came up. Read away!

The RV parks inside Santa Fe I find unattractive, but there are a few on Cerillos Road. I would recommend staying at the KOA a few miles east of Santa Fe at the Eldorado exit of I-25 or if you are looking for a really gorgeous spot Hyde Memorial State Park, near the Santa Fe Ski Basin. This campground is at 8500 feet elevation. Electric Sites are limited. You can make reservations through the NM State Park website. In the same area as the Hyde Memorial is Black Canyon Campground which is a National Forest campgound. It is just as nice, but does not have any hookups if I remember right.

You may also want to check out the Corps of Engineers camp ground at Cochiti. Another favorite that is not too far from SFe is Jemez Falls CG. It's run by the US Forest Service. No hook-ups, but it's a beautiful area.

Hello Susan, I will second the motion for you to stay at Santa Fe Skys. Friends and I stayed there last June and found it very convenient. It's south of the town in an uncrowded area and the views are great.

It is not in Santa Fe, but in Ojo Caliente there is a nice RV park on the grounds of the hot springs. I highly recommend the hot springs if you can work it into your schedule.
