RVers at Western Wild Fires - California

Was just wondering if anybody out West has had any contact with the RVing folks in the midst of the deadly wildfires. I understand the officials told the RVers to stay put as they would be safer where they are instead of trying to drive out of that mess.

I heard anywhere from 400 to 2000 folk are in a 'protected' area but aren't allowed to move - finding oneselve amidst wildfire wouldn't makes me a happy camper for sure!

With the sad event of the four firefighters losing their lives there yesterday and a fifth in tough shape with serious burns this sure makes one wonder what goes through an arsonists head. To start something as horific as this just boggles the mind. The fact that the firefighters, fully understanding the potential consequences of being there, place themselves in the way of the fire to try to protect the homes, and the case of this subject the RV community trapped there, is a pretty significant statement. Let's hope everyone else comes out of this one alive and well, and that the arsonist is caught and held accountable.
