Lightbulb RV Park lists?

The thought occured to me that:
What better resources for info on truely nice place to stay while on vacation... than from within our own group? The list would have all the contact info, address, telephone. A rating system based upon your own experiences. Was it easy to find? Did you find it easy to get in and out of? How clean was the bathrooms, etc? Did you feel like you're welcomed? What points of interests did you find nearby? I think you get the idea..I've read numerous reports posted here based on first hand experiences and, it just seems to cry out for a listing of sorts. What are your thoughts ? What would you like to see included?
ciao

RV park/Campground listing

Vern, I think you have something here, it could easily be seperated by state and be kept in the 'On the road forum', each state could have its own thread or we could make a seperate forum for it. Any suggestions or ideas from other's?

John

Good idea!

I like each state having a thread. There could be sub-threads such as Public and private to further narrow a search.

Lightbulb Ref:

Excellent~! Good work guys~~
That's a great take~ State=thread=Public=thread=Private and, Airstream only parks within each. Question to Andy about a take off point on the 'home' page label Parks', then by the state with a separate thread to public and, private parks with an visitor eval of same?

WBCCI Airstream Park List

I recently joined WBCCI and they sent me a 2002 Directory that has a listing of RV Parks which lists all the AS Parks as far as I know. Gives location, phone number and WBCCI Discounts.
Mystic Springs, Top of Georgia, Palmetto Cove are three that I know of.

Thumbs up

The State listings is a great idea...especially if there is first hand experience or discriptions instead of just the typical basic info you get from "the books"

I like the idea as well, I have tried to mention favorably or not, any parks I visit in posts here. The Topsail rv park was one i found thru a mention in someone else's posts, and we loved it and wanted to reciprocate. I also had to trash the Top Of Georgia for their rotten treatment of those of us with kids.
I am sure this will be a good addition to our archives.

Excellent idea

I think this would be a great benefit for all of us. Just having access to otherwise "hidden" parks and getting insider information on the locations is great. I take my family to local county parks at times, and they are wonderful places with great scenery etc, but they are only mentioned in local sites and guides, hard to find for out of staters. I know of 2 great county parks near my home that are very nice places to spend a few days, for very little money.

Will this do?

Andy has made a members review area that is alphabetacly & numerically seperated, see the link below, would that do for a park review or should we use a diffent format?

John

John,
I just wrote a review of a campground and submitted it. There are a couple of problems with the process which I reported to Andy. I wonder whether we will be able to edit the review once Andy posts it? Especially if feedback from others possibly spurs us to make some additions or changes to the original review.

Jack
