The Garmin 560 dezil is what I use when towing campers commercially. It has a setting for truckers, rv, auto , or pedestrian use. If you set weight , height, and length variables in it it will route you around all those. I haven't been to ny or nj so I can't say whether it would route me around those roads or not. So far it has kept me off truck resticted roads. It is a little pricy at 299.00 dollars but if it keeps me from getting a ticket it is well worth it.

A design/historical tidbit here.. Robert Moses built structures like these to ensure that "certain people" couldn't use certain city resources. By eliminating the ability for buses to travel on the parkways on Long Island, he literally cemented his bigotry in place: no busses meant no poor people or people of a "certain type" on the beaches and in the parks.

Moses' legacy is a great lesson in how resources can be deployed for or against certain groups and not only do people not notice but they might even celebrate.

Probably the same reasoning when something is sent by ship it's called cargo, and if it's sent by car it's called shipping.
