RV Docs Notebook
Hello everyone,
I am lifelong AS fan but new to the forum with a 30' Classic on order for May delivery. I would like to have a notebook or file handy with documentation we might need as we travel including things like proof of insurance, pet vet records, etc. Can anyone direct me to a resource for this information.
Thank you!

I just googled this, and mostly what came up is getting your passport in order! Great for trips to Canada and Mexico-- but also recommended for longish trips in the US:
drivers licenses
health insurance cards or info
a separate list of your medications and dosages (We had to visit Urgent Care on this trip. Also bring your home doctor's contact info.)
vehicle and AS registration and insurance documents
your insurance agent's contact info. (We were just rear-ended on this trip while stopped at a traffic light. No kidding.)
emergency vehicle assistance card or info (CAA, Good Sam, ...)
(If you do get into an accident on a longish trip, it's good to know whether you are covered for a rental vehicle or alternate overnight accommodations.)
Discount cards for RV parks (Good Sam, &c)
Seniors pass for federal public lands camping (if you qualify and visit national parks, &c.)
contact info for various next-of-kin, neighbours, &c
Passwords on a separate sheet of paper (Internet, electronic banking, &c)
Credit card and other important numbers (expiration dates, DL numbers, &c) on a separate sheet of paper.
List of numbers to call if you do lose your credit card, &c.
Pets' vet contact info. Rabies certificate/s.
Campground or RV park reservation confirmations
trip itinerary with contact info for various destinations along the way. Leave a copy with someone at home.
Other????

We have several notebooks. One is pretty much as described above, one is for our travels. We put receipts for each campground in a notebook arranged by State, so that we can go back to parks we liked and avoid those we didn't. There are two notebooks (factory) for the coach, in which are all the booklets, instructions, etc. for the various items. When we replaced the television, for example, I took out the booklet for the old set and put in the one for the new one. Those two notebooks stay with the coach. The final notebook is all of the coach repair/service receipts. That one will also stay with the coach for the next owners.

Thank you so much for the advice. We'd like to be as organized and prepared as possible before going on the road with the understanding there will be much to be learned. That seems like part of the fun for us. Thanks again!

How great to get a big shiny new Airstream!
Just one more thing to add to the list if you haven't thought of it already is in case your cell phone should get lost or stolen-- your emergency contact number.

I would add copies of your Durable Health Care Power of Attorney, your Directive to Physicians, and your General Durable Power of Attorney.
