Bonito hollow RV park is great. My wife and I love it. Also they are great people - they let the children who live at the children's home where I work in El Paso camp for free because they feel it is "the right thing to do." Sometimes people catch trout out of the stream next to the park.

Bonito Hollow is nice (we were there last summer), but keep in mind they have no television service, and no cell phone service. If those things are important to you.....

Elk Run RV has a nice small campground with very tame deer and TV,

That is correct, no tv or phone service, but I get calls from work all the time, so that is one of the things I like about the park - I don't have to ignore a call or make cracking sounds into the phone. A few of the sites have satellite reception.

I agree with ubank and check that site before every trip to a new place. I have worked with troubled kids since 1977 so my idea of camping is really getting away from the drama that comes across my phone, and we haven't been able to do that since last summer. When I feel like a cat on a hot tin roof, like now, I must check out the recommendations of others. My boss lives 24-7 in crisis mode and calls me wherever I am! But, I understand the need for connection and at age 63 1/2, and counting, I will be there soon. Enjoy Ruiodoso.
