Thumbs up Route I95 Tolls, Maryland & Delaware

Several weeks ago here on the forum there was some discussion that I joined regarding I95 tolls in Md & Del. I had shared the routes that I had found that would circumvent the tolls. They are $$$$$ and with a little extra time easy to avoid. Well, that's what I thought and what I had found a couple of years ago. NOT SO NOW. At least for the Maryland toll northbound over the Susquehanna River. Just today while traveling north on 95 with NO trailer I thought it best to double check the routes and confirm their use. Well, surprise, surprise. The route to avoid the Delaware toll is still reliable and ready to use. The toll is $4 for a car and $8 for car + trailer. ( I think). The Maryland toll a little south is a northbound only toll and is $8 for car and I think it's $16 for car + trailer. For me that's worth trying to avoid but the route I had found for this is currently closed due to construction on a RR overpass on the Susquehanna River Rd. I was able to get around it but definately NOT TRAILER FRIENDLY so do NOT attempt with trailer.

SO, traveler be forewarned and beware.

With a car and 2 axle trailer the MD 95N toll is $24!

If you're talking about the bridge replacement in Port Deposit, you can avoid that (and the toll) by continuing on US1 to Rising Sun and down 274 to 272 and then 95.

ThanX Blackdog. Yes that's the one. It's a nice drive through there and with the bridge out just not for trailers. In my opinions that is. Have to look at your suggestions for the next trip. Today was a nice day for a detour and did see two Bald Eagles on the downstream side of the Rt. 1 dam crossing so that helped to make my day.
