Round cutting board?

If you have one, do you use the sink-filling, round cutting board for anything other than a bit of counter space? It obviously isn't secure for travel as is. When we pulled our new AS home from Ft. Worth, our cutting board had leapt from the sink to the floor.

Get one just slightly smaller than the microwave's turntable, and carry it in the microwave.

Thanks, but I'd have to get a microwave to store it in. :-)

Upside down

I use the cutting board all the time to prep salads, veggies, etc. My number one tip? Turn it OVER and use the bottom side so the top stays smooth and clean. That plastic will scratch. I store it under the handy side couch in my 25 EB.

I just got a new laundry bag mounted on a wooden X frame about 33 inches tall. (it keeps the laundry off of the damp floor of the shower). When I'm doing a big prep job - I'm thinking that I could put some little rubber feet on the top of the frame and use it to hold the the sink cover... and have some extra counter space. The counter extension that opens across the door? D'oh, not the most brilliant design.

Round Sink Protector

As an aside. We use Kohler products in our house, and found a round sink protector that fits like a glove in the round sink. Unfortunately, Kohler discontinued the product, but there's a picture at the Kohler site
http://http://www.us.kohler.com/us/catalog/partProductDetails.jsp?productId=426491&isProductD iscontinued=true&_requestid=1876642

Fortunately, a company by the name of Guillens carry's that discontinued product. Their web site is
Department | Guillen Enterprises

When you get there you are going to look for the Kohler item# 6153. It's less than $30 and worth it. Unfortunately they have no picture.

I stowed ours under the lounge and never use it. I have other, smaller cutting boards I like.
