Wink Round and Round She Goes

Where she stops only one person knows!
Yesterday my four month, accident free trip around the US has come to an end. It will start up again when fire season closes next fall.
My trip has taken me from Oregon to Montana through Washington, Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, California and back to Oregon. Overnight stops in Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Nebraska, Iowa, Ohio, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida,
Yeah I visited over half of the States in these United States!
I traveled much of I-95, I-80, I-90, I-75, US 101, all of I-40, I-84, Parts of I-71, I-15, I-26, I-5, I-10, I-82, and historic Route 66 in Oklahoma and Arizona.

As far north as Montana, As far south as Key West, As far east as the Atlantic ocean, As far west as the Pacific Ocean.
Two Rallys, The First ever Can Opener and the First Women’s Rally.
The factory held my trailer hostage twice, for a total of three weeks to fix damage.
Wow what a trip!
Pictures will be on my website soon. Hopefully by the end of the weekend.

Wow, I'm jealous! Sounds like a great trip in spite of some of the problems you had. I'll look forward to those photos.
Going to USFS for the season?

What a neat trip to take. For those of us who enjoy driving and seeing the scenery it would be an ideal journey, and particularly with the Airstream in tow. I'm envious - as kids we would do long trips with the family touring which is where I got my wanderlust from - my wife on the other hand doesn't have quite the desire to cruise the country as I do.

Looking forward to the pictures.

Hi Michelle, it was great seeing you in Florida at the forums rally and later back home again in Michigan. I've been following your travels before and since and gotta say you really tow girl! Loved your Rivette rally pictures in California and looking forward to seeing more of your trip pictures.

You really scared me today when I saw your thread title. Glad all has been well and your shiny side up.

What a journey, Michelle! Wish I'd met up with you along the way, but maybe we can remedy that on our trip west this summer.

Have a safe summer!

It was great to meet you at the Western Women's Rally.

Have a safe fire season (with minimal fires) and I'll see you on the road.
Let me know if you are traveling through CA again...I am always ready to tow at a moment's notice!

Take care,
Laurel (Bam)

Well, my biggest expense was fuel. I was spending around $100 a day on Diesel when I was on the move.

Well now I have a reason to go into CT. Actually I was visiting long time friends and family. Next Fall/Winter I am planning on primarily staying south. I hope to attend the Can opener then I will head west and explore NM and AZ. I saw many places I want to return to an explore more.

I am planning on attending the can opener again next year. I do not expect to spend anywhere as much time in FLA as I did this year.

Thank You, I will have a safe season. Minimal fire is good for the forests but bad for the pocket book. I get paid by the flight hour.
