Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame Camping Spot?

Looking to take a weekend trip to visit the Rock and Roll HOF, and would like to find a nice state park or full service campground to base from in Cleveland. Any ideas?
Cheers,
Tom

Cleveland Area

Tom,

To bad you missed the Cleveland Airstream rally held at Burke Lakefront airport last month. You could have walked to the Rock & Roll Hall of fame. If you don't mind a little drive Portage Lake State Park is very nice. Portage Lakes State Park

I know this is an old thread, but there is plenty of parking for your tow rig, I have a 4 dr 6 ft bed pickup and used the pay parking lots across from the hof. Stayed at wilderness cg in statesboro, 45 min from time we left until we walked in the front door, Thursday mid day. Stayed 2 days at cg, mostly seasonal, but clean, and safe, 88 bucks, way cheaper than the koa that wanted 126 bux, not worth that for us, just to use as a home base.

We camped at West Branch SP when we visited RRHOF. A bit of a drive but not too bad.

Tom,

You're coming out of the Cincinnati area on this trip, right? See if Findlay State Park in Wellington might be an option. It's a bit SW of Cleveland.

Thanks, Gary, I’ll check that out as well. We’re actually based in NW Indiana now.

We will be there shortly after Labor Day and we've got a spot at Cross Creek Camping Resort, Vermilion OH. We had no desire to be closer to Cleveland so this works for us.
Good luck!

Vermillion home of the Wolly Bear festival. A nice town.
