Road test 2011 27FB International.

Just finished 1 year on the road over 30K miles thru the West, Canada and Mexico and am quite pleased with our Airstream. Only issues were: bad batteries (on our third set), 3 popped rivets interior, filiform on running lights, bumper and tail light yellowing (dealer replaced), 1 flat tire (nail), stripped wheel lug ( my Bad), cabinet hinges loosening (fixed with lock tite), awning pulled out of skin in wind micro burst ( insurance ) Cracked A/C condensation pan ( dealer repair), and stress fractures on one of the lexan rock shields ( dealer replaced ).
All said we feel that Airstream makes one hell of a TT. We put it thru all the tests : Interstate high speed, gravel roads, narrow roads ( Hwy 1), 2000 miles thru Baja, topos ( speed bumps), dirt National forest road, nasty construction detours, freezing temps, desert heat and Florida heat, rain and humidity.
Starting another year and more great adventures on the road with our Airstream.

Wow! Good to hear about the great service the Airstream has given you. Sounds like you are using it precisely the way it was designed to be used- a travel trailer with the emphasis on travel.

Great report.

Out of curiosity, did they pull the AC and replace the pan? Or repair it in place?

It sounds like you did a good job towing too, keeping it intact through the varying conditions.

They did pull the A/C to access the pan.

Sounds great! But I'd check into why the batteries are dying so quick on you - they should last for years, properly maintained.

One thing I'd like to point out, if you haven't looked at the blog connected with Rbphoto, its worth looking at. Some very nice pictures of interesting areas.
