Recommendations for Jackson, WY area
We started looking for sites near Jackson, WY that are preferably reservable but haven't come up with much so far. We'd like something that is close to Jackson as our plans are to stay in the area and then head into Idaho near Rigby.
We saw a few state campgrounds on the Teton Pass/Route 22 but am not familiar with them. It also looks like the sites near Jackson Lake are first come first serve and a bit further north.
We prefer state or national campground sites and are not RV park folks. We like peace and quiet and a pretty setting. We'd also be game for boon docking on public lands that are accessible. We have a 23FB. We have a generator so hookups are not required. Recommendations on nearby dump sites also welcome as well.
Thanks for any recommendations you can provide!

Not too far north of Jackson is this place - it almost never fills completely
Gros Ventre Campground | Camping in the Grand Tetons | GTLC - Grand Teton Lodge Company
We will be back in the area this summer, probably staying in boondocking spots!

We visit Jackson every year. If we can get one of the electric sites at Gros Ventre Campground in the Park, we stay there. Otherwise, we stay at the Virginian Lodge RV Park which is right in town on the main drag.

We stayed there 2 years back, you are right - it is right on the main drag. I believe you get pool use at the hotel.

This is a good link to campgrounds in the National Park: Campgrounds - Grand Teton National Park (U.S. National Park Service)

When we were traveling, we used www.rvdumps.com to find places to empty the tanks. They probably even have an app for that!

Gros Ventre Campground
I agree that the Gros Ventre Campground is great. We have camped there multiple times. I do not think it ever fills up, so we stay there first, and scout out other campgrounds with hookups in the area which we move to after a few days at the Gros Ventre Campground. The camp sites are spaced out, the Ranger programs are great. On two occasions we had Moose visit us while I made breakfast outside!!
