I'd rather do that than get a separate phone bill for the number assigned to the pc card.
Go with Phils suggestion, visit a Verizion store, I have the Verizion pc card also since our first trip, and use it on my boat.

Great Rally TCT, good food, wine with dinner, great open house, excellent food and 60's/70's concert tonight. Met some Forums members and all had a good time.
More soon.... off to Sault Ste Marie at first light. More tomorrow. I will work on pictures tomorrow.

Day 7 Sault Ste Marie, MI

We headed out from Camp Dearborn and the TCT Rally for Sault Ste Marie with our good friends FD and his wife (pulling their '83 34 newly stripped, polished and clearcoated AS). We arrived at the airport where Freddie used to work before moving to NC, his wife was born and raised here. We went for an airplane ride with Freddie and one of his former students and got an birseye view of the locks and surrounding country side, got yhe 50 cent tour by car, had one of the best burgers and onion rings at West Pier in Sault Ste Siberia as FD calls it. We are currently boondocking in the airport parking lot.
Day started out cold and wet but warmed up into the 50's. We got some great pictures going up I75 and crossing the Mackinac Bridge.

We are off in the morning to Brainerd, MN (a long day).

Thanks for rthe advice on the Air card it works great. I will post this then try to post some pictures.

Day 8 - Made it to Brainerd, MN

We had breakfast, gassed up the Duramax traveled across Route 28 and 2 along Lake Superior to Duluth then on to Brainerd arriving at Lum Park at about 7:30 pm. A lot of rain and thunderstorms on the way across the UP. We stopped in Marquette at Wal-Mart for cat supplies and a couple of Pasteys at Lowry's. They were excellent! It was a very long day....am still trying to get pictures posted. More later.......

Excellent! Congrats on the progress. Sad to say that the mosquitoes wouldn't have been quite as bad middle of last week. We were camping this weekend and Friday night's warmth made them ravenous. Nick Crowhurst called them 'swamp angels' in a PM to me today. Have a fine trip -- I'm enjoying the reports!

Bob,
Thanks. You are right about the mosquitos, they swarm as soon as you step outside. Beautiful country up here, I have to come back when I have no schedule to keep. It looks like the fishing would be great.
Well, slow start this am and a long ways to go......

Day 9 - Wall, SD

We made it to Wall, SD. Took Rt 210 to Fargo then 94 to Sterling and then 83 to Pierre and I-90. Beautiful Grass lands, straight roads and very little traffic. There was more rain and a thunder storm followed by a awesome sunset.
We will start tomorrow with a visit to Wall Drug Store then pass through Mt. Rushmore on our way to Cody, WY
I am taking a lot of pictures and I promise as soon as I knock off the 12 & 13 hour drives I will figure out how to post a few.

Bugs start letting off about Aug 1st -- by then they're only a problem for 1/2 hour or so at sunset. Deerflys & horseflies are much less by then too.

Day 10 Cody, WY

Made it to Cody last night about 9:30. We took 14 over the Big Horn Mountains - what a trip! There was snow fields on top with lots of deer and elk looking for green grass along side the road. It truly was awesome.
After spending some time and money at Wall Drug we stopped in at Mount Rushmore then on to Cody.
We will take in some of the Museum this morning and head over to Yellowstone, Jackson and make it to Declo, ID for tonight. I promise I am taking lots of pictures and will post soon.

Maybe I'll run into Moosetags over here some where.
We have only seen one AS on the road and that was yesterday on I 90 south of Buffalo, WY heading east. We have seen a few in back yards here and there but not as many as you might think.

Truck is running good, love that allison tranny up and down the mountain.
On to the museum.

Staying in Cody for a day or two.

We have decided to stay in Cody for a day or two to rest. Fatigue set in as we were eating breakfast this morning. We will probably forgo our stop in Crescent City and do that on another trip. We visited the Cody Museum this morning and will go back again either this afternoon or tomorrow. We met LC from Colorado and were invited to a Rally this weekend in Thermopolis, WY. They are two sites down from us at the Ponderosa Campground in Cody.

Will post some more pictures this afternoon.....time for a nap.

R&R in Cody, WY

We are feeling much more rejuvinated this morning. Yesterday we visited the Cody Museum and checked out the extensive firearms collection and the western art collection. The museum is pretty impressive and is "World Class".

The excitement for yesterday was chipping a molar, finding a dentist who would squeeze me in on the last day before a long weekend and getting a root canal started with a temporary crown. I hope it holds until CA.

The weather is cool and rainy wind chill is 35. It is snowing in Yellowstone, We hope the McCabe's are staying warm.

The plan now is to head towards ID on Saturday and Terrebonne on Sunday.

I will post pictures of the trip so far today.

Mac and Linda
