Looking for park recommendations at Yellowstone (west) and Flathead Lake areas. Any help is greatly welcome. Full hookup sites only please. Thx.

We stayed at the KOA in West Yellowstone last June and liked it.

This coming June/July I will be spending a few weeks in Yellowstone, and we will be staying at Yellowstone Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone. They have full hookups. Never stayed there before, but it has been recommended to me by a few folks.

The Grizzly is very nice and priced accordingly. West Yellowstone is a good base if you need full hook-ups. The KOA is pretty much what you would expect...

In the park itself, there is the Fishing Bridge RV Park and it has full hook-ups but it is kind of a parking lot with trees. Everything else in the Park is dry camping.

It is a great time to be making reservations. Full hook up sites are pretty scarce come late June on until late August.

See you there,

Mike

Polson Flathead Lake KOA is a very nice RV park. www.polsonkoa.com

If you're planning on going to Glacier NP, there are plenty of closer RV parks.

We stayed at Wagon Wheel RV Park in West Yellowstone. It has been family owned for about years. Everything is immaculate...the bathrooms, the laundry and the game room. There is also cable and wifi. About a mile to the entrance of Yellowstone. Close to the shopping area. We have been there twice and wouldn't consider going anywhere else. Ken, the owner is
extremely nice and helpful. Phone is 406-646-7872. Open May 30 thru Oct 1.

Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone is one of the best we have been in. Not cheap, but we have enjoyed being there for several weeks each year for the last 11 years. We will return again this year.

We have heard from others that the Rustic Wagon Campground in West Yellowstone is also nice.

KOA, Polson is near Flathead Lake. None of the state parks have FULL hookups ... further north is the KOA just south of Whitefish Lake (west of Glacier, north of Flathead Lake).
