Punderson Ohio.

Just came back from a week in Ohio and while there I decided to stay at the Punderson Ohio State Park. This was an awesome park and I would recommend the park to anyone. Just wanted to pass it along.

Ahhh! About 2 hours west of my dad's home territory. Truly a nice part of the world. What pulled you to NE Ohio, Doohickey?

One part of the country we've never visited...yet! Ohio is the seat of my dad's side of the family, in the early 1800's...that looks like a great place to take in the sights, etc...

Did you walk up to the manor house and maybe have dinner there?
How about a walk by the lake or a round of golf on that beautiful goldfcourse?
Ohio state parks are gems and Punderson has some of the nicesat amenities - it is busy year-round with snow-machine trails, cross-country skiing, ice fishing and sled-riding in the winter.
Glad you enjoyed your stay - Belle's on the square in Burton just down the road has the best breakfast for miles!
Hurry back!

Looks loverly! I stay at Berlin Dam State Park when I'm in Ohio visiting my sister - looks very similar - huge spaces, trees and QUIET.

Punderson

Wow! We liked Punderson too. But our favorite is still West Branch SP, just a little south of there. Next time you are in the area PM us. We are only about an hour and a half from there...west. The Cleveland Polo fields are nearby and they hold the Dock Dog events there, so Punderson is the nearest to where we are when the furry girls do their Big Air events.

Did drive around the lake and Manor but my schedule was limited due to the extreme times I needed to be on the road each morning to get into Cleveland and the darkness when I got back. The park was extremely quiet and there were lots of deer around which was a nice and interesting. I liked many of the little towns around and really liked the Hunting Valley neighborhood. I drove by the Polo Grounds I think each morning on 87?

yep

That sounds right! The Polo fields are right there. Next time, we hope you will consider courtesy parking with us too! We are just sw of Cleveland by about 20 mi. right near I-480 and the Turnpike, and I 71. We are not far from any of those major roads.

You have champagne taste - Hunting Valley is probably the most exclusive residential community in the Cleveland area. The Polo fields are gorgeous as is that whole area - especially in the fall.
