Pulled my '48 Liner with my '54 Chevy

Well, after a couple years of preparing ol' blue for this challenge it all came together last week. I made the 500 mile trip uneventfully. My only concern was the heat but, I took my time on the back roads all went well.

I pulled the trailer from Kansas City to McPherson, KS and back.

I went to McPherson College for a summer class in body panel repair. It was a fantastic class at a equally fantastic school. I would highly recommend the school for anyone interested in auto restoration. Their program is the only one of its kind in the nation to offer a BS in Auto Restoration. I will most definitely be returning next year for another class.

I want to share a picture of ol' blue and the Liner at a great background near the KOA just north of Lawrence, KS.

Enjoy

I am trying to think of a 71 something to go with my TT. I would use my current truck most of the time but a 71 something would sure go great with my Overlander.

Wow!

Cory,

That is awesome! I love the look of the two of your vintage vehicles together. I am glad the trip was a success and I look forward to seeing both of them together. We have a friend with a vintage truck and he's promised to do a photo "op" with us when we get our trailer done (which who knows when that will be!)

Tina, how's the Airstream coming? Have you got your building built?

It was lots of fun!

Slow...

The garage is coming very slow. Well, probably not, but it seems slow when you are impatient :-). We have it up, roof and sides on, but it's been too wet to pour the floor. We get a couple of days of dry weather, but the clay soil just isn't drying fast enough before another rain comes and we start the cycle over again. Mike may need to do some temporary grading to see if that helps in the garage, but I don't know for sure.

Our poor trailer hasn't had any work done to it since last fall and I've been itching to get at it, but it is in the garage with the dirt floor and away from the wet section... We'll tow it back out when we pour the floor. So, we're very very close.

We did find a bargain on birch backed luan (sp?) for $8 a sheet at the Habitat Re-Store. Perfect for the inside cabinets when we're ready to build them. We haven't stopped collecting "stuff" to go in the trailer.
