Frozen Chosen and MaxandGeorgia ...
Would you believe a Polaroid?
A Brownie Starmite?
How about a Yashica twin lens reflex?
OK ... I'm using a Nikon Coolpix 880 ... it's a 3.2 megapix camera. I think it is about 3 or 4 years old ... Nikon discontinued this model about 6 months after it was released.
I bought it because several reviews considered it to be as good or better than the 990 ... which was the really hot camera at that time.
Just picked up the wide angle lens for it a couple of weeks ago ... makes a huge difference on the indoor and close up shots. Check out the Buckhorn Mineral Springs photos (Mesa, AZ) ... that was my first outing with this lens.
Although I am lusting after a Nikon D70 ... and getting really excited about the new Canon EOS 20D ... I'm not sure that a new camera will give me any better results when considering the mega dollars needed to make the purchase.
Also, I purchased my very first tripod ... a Bogen/Manfretto 3021BPRO. My little camera looks silly and out of place perched upon this fine piece of Italian hardware. I'm using the tripod to improve my panoramas and night photos.
When I get the Panoramas page up and running ... you will see some really nice shots ... most have been hand held.
We have been reluctant to add too many photos ... as we would like the pages to load as fast as possible. This is why we have multiple pages for some of the locations. Be sure to click on the NEXT button at the bottom of the page when you see one.
Many thanks to all of you for the kind words. Your encouragement has given us the energy and confidence to keep going.
