Question Poll : What is your favorite ALARM when you're not in your A/S ?

I wondered how you protect your A/S or MH when you let it , in the campground, to go to the restaurant, to visit a place by foot or other.
I've well ridden the gun's thread but , in this situation, the gun is really not usefull.
What to do or what to install ? Alarm, dog , lights, grand mother...
Say your method.

Thank you one more time, you're great !

Bruno...

Are you sure you really want to go camping? It sounds like you need a regiment of troops to guard you!!! Is it more dangerous in Europe to go camping than to live in a big city?

Many, many campers here don't even pick up their equipment or lock their trailers when they leave! Lots of folks who camp in tent trailers don't bother to lock them 'cause it doesn't do any good anyway.

I generally close the door and lock mine when I leave as I'm sure most of us who have A/S do, but few of us take more heroic efforts than that to secure our campsites. As frequent as property crime can be in the U.S., it generally doesn't extend to campgrounds. Probably the single most common crime in campgrounds in the U.S. is bicycle theft. And that is typically done by local kids who steal camper's bikes while they're gone. Bikes are the one thing I always lock up before I leave.

Not a real problem

Like 85MH325, I do lock the door when I leave and I do put up small things such as radios that would be easy to walk off with. Chairs and table stay out if in a campground and I have never lost anything.

At restaurants and similar quick stops, I leave the doors locked for travel and go about my business. If we have the cat, I run the Fantastic Fans, one in and oue out and leave the windows closed.

Wink

We travel with 2 dogs and 3 kids, I have seen hikers take detours to stay away from us, so I have never worried about someone sneaking around.

No alarm but a gun ...

My goal is not to create a polemic about this thread and the utility to have or not an alarm but some thing embarras me when i see the result of this poll...

Most of you ( more than 52% ), from an another poll, say you have a gun to protect you in case of, but no alarm system or other, to protect the A/S when you're outside, in the restaurant by example. I suppose when you go dinner, you don't take your gun ... and it is inside the A/S; just lock the door, and the gun inside , I don't understand that.
May be , in statistics, no stolen gun in A/S at that time but I thing it's very dangerous attitude because it's too much easy to go inside an A/S, as the other caravans or cars, knowing you can find a gun !!!!!

Can you explain me that.

Bruno, things are a bit different here in th US. When we go to the restaraunt, or to the movies, or anywhere else, we can take our gun with us. It is protection for us, not necessarily the A/S.

I didn't participate in the poll, because at this time I am still looking for my A/S. I thought that the intent of the poll was to find out how the A/S was protected when you were away. When I had my SOB(I now have only a pop up), I hardly ever locked it up if I went out. I'd always try to meet the neighbors and let them know I'd be gone for a bit. I've never had a problem in the past.
