Appreciate all the suggestions. I'll definitely have to start planning earlier next year. This will be our first major trip in the Airstream. Lots of work to do between now and then.

Little secret. I have been to the state park in Gulf Shores over a dozen times. I have never made reservations. Almost every trip over Internet has said full and they have had the "full" sign posted. I ask for a spot and have never been turned away. Usually end up with a good spot close to the pool. Remember this a secret so do not tell anyone.

Johnny's may be 15 minutes to gulf shores city limits but probably 30 minutes to beach. But does have a great pool with water slides and lazy river. It is also located next to a liquidation center which is popular day time activity for many of the snowbird guests. It is about 10 minutes from outlets. Be sure to consider lambert' with family style food and throwed rolls by outlet. Gift horse in downtown foley also has a good traditional daily southern buffet. There is an excellent and free model railroad musuem in downtown foley open on Saturday. I like neptunes seafood in gulf shores. Tin top in Bon secour is also excellent. Have fun.

Reservations

We returned from Gulf Shores State Park a little over a week ago. While we were there, the NAARvA had their South East rally on site. There were 250 or more Class A's in attendance. Really glad we had a reservation for a site we wanted. Kathy
