Paradise Park Florida

We are thinking about doing the Snow Bird thing in Florida this winter. One of the spots we are considering is Paradise Park in Punta Gorda. I understand this was an Airstream only park at one time. Does anyone have information / experience with this park.

Look a little east toward Melbourne you'll be near everything, if that's important, and look into Land Yacht Harbor, an Airstream park. Check out their web site.

Is there anyone here on the forum, that spends the winter in Paradise Park ??

Several years ago, we drove through it & was amazing to see so many Airstreams there for the season.

I was wondering how the park is doing these days, given the economy, falling property values, etc...

We stayed at Paradise park a few weeks ago for two nights. We liked it. Everything looks like it is kept up, neighbors were friendly, nice golf course and swim pool. I was told that they have a very nice shop to work on things with all the tools you need. They are very dog friendly and have an off leash area.

Yes it is out in the country so you need to plan your grocery shopping accordingly. The club house is very busy with dinners, cards, movies, etc. In fact, on Sunday nights they have an ice cream social and then a movie afterwards. We saw The Help which I had been wanting to see.

I don't think the property values have declined very much, but they do have a few more places for sale than normal.

PM me and I will give you my friend's email, he has been living there in the winter for many years.

Nancy
