Hmmmm.... You keep tempting me. I wanna come visit. I will mention that to the driver if I get a chance. Although he seems to have a mental block about traveling farther south in California. Right now we've decided to have a two week stop near yosemite. We really need a week without moving to rest and Sasha is recovering from going over the mountain pass. She was sick for two days.

Minerva sprung a nasty leak just inside the rear compartment near the dump valve and the repairman (Shawn) isn't a happy camper right now. He managed to get it down to a slow leak (after 3 hours of working on it) and get the water back on in the trailer but more surgery is needed on the plumbing system tomorrow.

Plumbing leaks are the worst kind....unless water is pouring through the roof.....hope we have a happy camper soon. Yosemite might make you feel better although you might be far from repair supplies....paula

Actually, Oakhurst had a Truevalue, so I was all set -- unfortunately, I didn't realize that you're supposed to sweat your copper joins BEFORE you attach anything with threads, so I'll have to re-do all of the 5 hours of prior work next week. At this point I've fixed it to only be a small drip rather than what it was before.

What a great adventure in such a beautiful trailer! I'm curious about the mirror shown for your Tundra. My Sequoia could use something like this. Where did you get it from?

They are Tow N See mirrors....one flat for the left and one concave for the right....about $20 a piece at Camping World.

Funny story but at the time it was not so funny. When we were in Chicago there was so much traffic that I suggested to my husband that he take the Tow N See mirrors off for the week. He blew me off saying they were too much trouble to put back on. On our last day there, he took the truck to be washed and returned with one of the mirrors broken because someone hit it........and do you think I said, "I told you so?"

Lucky for us, we were about 6 miles from a Camping World and they had both kind in stock.........they have a small elastic that holds them if they do fall off so that you can open the window and grab them to pull them inside.....but they stay on pretty well. He did not like the McKesh mirrors so these do pretty well. p

Hi, Good news; Does this mean you/Uwe found another window for your trailer?

Yup, we saw it on another thread, and as I was watching the interview I saw your trailer, so I called over to Nicki to see if she recognized it! I wasn't sure if you knew about the video or not.

The curved Corning glass is available from Inland RV but it does not have the frame around the glass like our other windows so if you look at it next to the other window you will be able to tell. The curved glass were made for the 66,67,and 68 years but only the 68 year had a metal frame. The replacement glass is too thick to fit in the old frame......will try to post a photo. p

Window replacement & Polishing

This is the window replacement from the outside. From the inside, you won't know there is a difference.

We are getting a new polish which is 2 years after the first polish and about 17 or 18,000 miles later. We do store her inside so that helps.

We did go to a commercial truck wash in Baker City, OR and I am not sure but think there was something in the guy's hose on the curbside that left a residue.....something they use on trucks although I asked them to not use that and to turn it off. Normally we have a hand wash....nothing power but we had been on the road and were pretty dirty before the Wally Byam Birthday Bash on July 4. paula
