Have a great trip in the new digs! Our favorite place to stay there in Cannon Beach is that same RV resort. Stayed there last week in fact. Still wish they had a few spots on the beach, but hey it's a quick drive or walk.

Jason, we've stayed at the RV resort on the east side of the highway. We like Cannon Beach too. Had breakfast one morning at the restaurant on the walk into town.

We hope to get up there in the fall when the weather is terrible, but it is the only time we can take a long trip this year.

Gene

We spent the kids' spring break on the Oregon Coast this past April. Stayed at South Beach State Park in Newport. Great memories. Enjoy your trip!

So we have a Verizon USB Internet connect. I put it on the counter before leaving but one of the twins Elsa ( who we nicknamed Dennis the menace) took it and lost it in the house. So I just picked up a new wifi jet pack that I can hook up to 5 devices to. This thing is cool. I hate typing long messages on the iPhone. And have to pay some bills with the computer while on this trip. Plus it's 4g. Oooohhh.

Well staying in rv parks always reaffirms why I don't like them. Right on top of each other and no separation. There are two rv parks in cannon beach we have stayed at both now. The one on the south end of town on the east side of the highway is a lot nicer. We stayed there last year.
Here is a pic of our camp site. Looks nice but so close to everyone else. Moving to nehalem bay today much nicer.

We made it to Nehalem bay. I love camping here. I will get some pics posted later.
We bought I couple of skim boards at a surf shop, Yep thought I was to old but did ok. I remember making them as a kid. Bought a round one like the ones I use to make, and surf board looking one. Kids had a blast.

Held Emma's hand as she went along and Andrew would ride it on his knees as I gave him a push.

Looks like tomorrow will be a little sunnier so that will be nice.

It's a little hard to see with everything set up. The nice thing is the camp sites are big and there is no one behind you. Just woods

Jason, looks like you are having a blast. The Oregon Coast is beautiful this time of the year. We usually spend a long week in Lincoln City but skipped this year because of our recent trip. That water is cold though isn't it?

If you guys go through Tillamook, stop at the creamery. The tour is neat and the kids will get a free cone at the end.

Astoria is nice and the ride across the mouth of the Columbia river is great too.

If you make it up into Washington you can drive right on the beach and camp all day. You can't spend the night but there are plenty of parks where you can. When we first got our AS I towed it onto the beach at Ocean City, cracked a beer and it was very relaxing. Just make sure you get it onto the hard packed sand.

We will be heading up that why. My folks live in Spanaway, and Michelle's in Renton. We will be heading up that way Thur afternoon.

Yep water is cool. Landed on my butt once. Michelle was cold and she didn't go in the water. But then she has 2 blankets on her at night and I just have a sheet.

Sun starting to poke through the clouds. Time to head for the beach. Took a 3 mile bike ride with the kids this morning on a paved trail and around camp. also found an argosy with a nice paint job on it. pic to come.

Roasted dogs and made s'mores tonight. This s'more is mad with a jumbo marshmallow and was so melted I put the chocolate in the middle so it melted even within the marshmallow. It was about perfect

Life is good.
