Hi Scott. There is so much to see along the Columbia River Gorge. We stayed at one of the state parks: Ainsworth park just east of Troutdale. Full hook-ups. A must is the fish hatchery and the Bonneville dam. Lots of beautiful waterfalls along the Columbia River. Enjoy all the beauty.

Hey Scott, I'm in Cannon Beach now (sans trailer - we are staying in a house on the beach in Seaside). I'll keep an eye out for you. We are wandering around Cannon Beach most of the day.

Thanks for the tip. We just took a look at the CG on Google Earth and it looks like a great location. Being sailors, we have always wanted to check out the "Gorge". Do you think we will need to make reservations that time of the year? We are trying to keep our schedule loose and not "over engineer" the trip.

Cannon beach is great. Spent the whole day at the beach with the kids building sand castles, sea monsters, and a turtle

We may see you guys tomorrow. We always take a ride through the CB RV park looking for Airstreams after we take my inlaws to Sunday breakfast in CB. Glad you had perfect beach weather for sand castle building.

Hi Scott and Becky,

I hope you don't feel that I am intruding on your journey. I just ran across your post by accident. It didn't dawn upon me that your were along the Oregon coast until after I hit the send button.

We were at Ainsworth on August 12 (Wednesday) a few years back without reservations. It was easy to get into the park during the week. By the weekend, it was pretty full.

The Gorge had sailboats and wind-surfers too. They actually had a regatta during our visit.

Enjoy your travels.

Well off to the Oregon coast again. The AS is usable can't believe I got it ready.
We pulled into our stop last night and saw another AS. So we parked next to them. It turned out to be Jane. Or Janie Q. Was nice to meet some fellow air forum members. Off to the blue ridge mountains in Oregon today. Coll. camp ground up above Pendelton. .

Yep that's a good one. We are camping at immigrant pass tonight. Put in a new prodigy 2 brake controller. Wow what a difference that thing makes. Had a $40 junk one from Wally world before. Night and day.

Camped at immigrant NF tonight. The Neilsons that are on the forums. They parked next to us tonight. That's two nights in a row we found people with AS and from the forums. took the kids for a bike ride they have some nice trails and dirt roads here. Staying with friends in Beverton tomorrow night and then off to cannon beach.
