Orange Beach trip 2016

I've been posting everything in the repair forum so far. Feels good to finally be able to post in the On the Road section. Two years in the making, our first major trip in the Airstream.

First leg was Paris, Tx to Lafayette, La. Once we got the sway bar adjusted properly, the '02 Trailblazer pulled like a dream. We pulled into a nice rv park in Carencro about 6 pm. Bayou Wilderness RV Resort. Nice gated park with full hookups, cable, and WiFi. Good pool with water slides for the kids. All sites are nice, level, pull through sites.









Next stop, Davis Bayou.

Sunday morning at Davis Bayou. I must say, this is one of the best kept parks we have been in. Kudos to the park staff.





The one sign that is almost impossible to pass up "Hot Donuts Now"











Onward to Foley, Alabama.



But first a little detour to the visitor center. Very interesting and enlightening information about the gulf island seashore.

Destination, Johnny's Lakeside RV Resort. Arrived Sunday afternoon. Just ahead of the thunderstorm. We've been dodging them most of the way.



Really nice place with pull through concrete sites. Full hookups and usable WiFi.

Spent most of the afternoon today napping in the lazy river. Feels good to be stationary for a while.
